CODE OF CONDUCT
We uphold a culture of respect, discipline, and safety for all students, instructors, and visitors. To ensure the best training experience, we ask everyone to follow these guidelines with commitment and integrity. By training here, you agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive and welcoming environment.
General Rules
- Phones must be silenced, and calls taken outside.
- Respect all students, instructors, and staff at all times.
- Conversations should remain low to respect ongoing classes.
- Parents and spectators should observe quietly without coaching.
- Remain seated in designated areas; avoid standing near the mats.
- Keep personal belongings in assigned spaces to maintain order.
- Video recording is allowed only with approval and never during instruction.
Dress Code & Uniform
- Wear the official GI/NO-GI uniform in class.
- Bare feet on the mats; wear footwear when off.
- Fingernails and toenails must be neatly trimmed.
- Keep hair tied back if long to prevent obstruction.
- Jewelry, piercings, and metal accessories must be removed.
- Uniforms should be clean, odor-free, and in good condition.
- Rash guards are required for NO-GI; shirts under the GI for women only.
Safety & Mat Rules
- Seek permission before leaving the mat during class.
- Tap early and respect your partner’s tap immediately.
- Train with control and be aware of your surroundings.
- If arriving late, wait for instructor approval before joining.
- Report injuries or discomfort to the instructor immediately.
- Higher belts have mat priority—adjust your space accordingly.
- Groin protection is recommended; mouthguards for sparring encouraged.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
- Outside food is not allowed in the facility.
- Cover cuts or wounds properly before training.
- Feet must be clean before stepping onto the mat.
- GI and NO-GI attire must be washed after each use.
- Dispose of trash properly and keep shared spaces tidy.
- Food and drinks are not permitted inside the training area.
- Maintain good personal hygiene to ensure a healthy training environment.
Etiquette & Attitude
- Shake hands before and after each roll or drill.
- Keep a positive and supportive attitude at all times.
- Avoid excessive talking and stay focused on training.
- Follow the instructor’s guidance without interruption.
- Bow when entering and leaving the mat as a sign of respect.
- Show courtesy by accepting all training partners respectfully.
- Higher belts have mat priority; always give them space when rolling nearby.
Class Procedures
- Classes begin and end with a formal bow.
- Arrive on time and wait quietly before class.
- Check in at the front desk before class starts.
- Use designated areas for stretching or warm-ups.
- Only instructors may demonstrate or correct techniques.
- Follow all facility rules to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Store training gear neatly and retrieve lost items from the front desk.
